→Heyday Invited to Participate in A+D Museum Exhibit

The A+D Museum in Los Angeles contacted us about an upcoming group show called "Come In!". We are stoked! It will feature about 10 up and coming artists in various fields ranging from jewelry to graphic design to architecture. Per the A+D website: "A+D Museum invited some of Los Angeles's freshest talents in Architecture and Design to intervene in our galleries. The museum is their canvas, the exhibit a constant work in progress, morphing and growing...."

→Rock Row LEED Certification Official: 10 Platinum /5 Gold

Rock Row is now officially the greenest single family development in Los Angeles. 10 of the homes received the highest rating possible: Platinum, and 5 received Gold ratings. This also makes Heyday the largest LEED homebuilder in Los Angeles.

→Garbage

We're getting the garbage bins delivered to Rock Row tomorrow and the sales rep. from the garbage company had all kinds of interesting tidbits of information. Here are the two most interesting ones:
1. In a few months they are going to be done constructing their new sorting facility. Once complete, they are stopping their recycling service because it is more efficient for them to sort it themselves from the garbage than to have homeowners try to separate it. It will recycle over 80% of the garbage that comes into it.
2. He said about a third of the recycled material from their facilities gets shipped overseas then shipped back to us.
